Start ‘Em

Davante Adams

Every game Adams keeps showing what a great wide receiver he truly is. Last week Adams put up 67 yards and a touchdown while matched with Xavier Rhodes. Keep in mind that the odds were not in Davante’s favor.

Adams had a catch where he toe-tapped out of bounds that ended up being called back by a terrible offensive pass interference call. People should have talked about how Adams embodied Jordy Nelson‘s signature catch, but instead, we argue whether Adams pushed off Rhodes.

Adams was able to shake off Rhodes for yards after the catch and haul in a touchdown pass pitted against one of the toughest defenses in the NFL. Washington will have Josh Norman covering Adams all game long. Number One-Seven should not have a problem producing the same numbers, if not better, than what he did last week against Minnesota.

Jimmy Graham

Last week Jimmy Graham was listed in the sit ’em section. The thought process was Graham needed one more week to click with Rodgers. That prediction ended up being dead wrong, as it looked that Rodgers and Graham were completely in sync against the Vikings.

Graham ended up having 95 yards receiving against Mike Zimmer’s disciplined defense. There should have been a touchdown attached to Graham’s stat sheet as well, but ended up being called back by a holding penalty.

The same exact production is expected from Graham against Washington’s defense. No matter which man they try to cover the Packers’ new tight end, it will be a mismatch all day. Rodgers has an eye to find that mismatch, and look for any opportunity to give Graham the ball again. This hopefully will be the week that Graham will make his connection in the end zone.

Packers D/ST

Last week Washington played against the Indianapolis Colts and only managed to put up nine points. Green Bay’s defense is capable of limiting touchdowns against Washington’s lackluster offense.

While Kevin King is still out with a groin injury, Josh Jackson is going to play in his stead. Jackson’s coverage looked great during the preseason, and Washington will be the team to break him into the speed of the NFL. Jaire Alexander is hungry for the ball after being robbed twice of interceptions the past two games in a row.

The Packers’ special teams blocked a punt last week that resulted in a touchdown. It isn’t a play that will happen every week, but now we know that Green Bay is absolutely capable of doing it again one day in the future. Expect the Packers defense to create turnovers, sacks, and a low score coming from Washington.
