4. Davante Adams

Davante Adams’ numbers for the game are not that impressive at first glance, six catches 40 yards and a touchdown. What is impressive is the way Adams did it. All game long Adams was covered by the Patriots’ best corner, Stephon Gilmore. All game long Gilmore had help with a safety over the top.

Adams faced constant double teams and still was able to make a difference. Although he fell short of a third straight game with over 100 yards receiving, he did still manage a touchdown despite all the attention.

ANALYSIS: Positives, negatives for the Packers in Week 9 loss to Patriots

It’s clear Adams is no longer being overlooked as a true number one receiver. Of the few times Adams did get one-on-one coverage he was able to get free. Looking back at the play MVS caught his 51-yarder, Adams broke free from his guy and had a good five yards between him and his defender.

Either way, Rodgers went where was a big play to be had.

With injuries and replacement at the receiver position, Adams has been the one true constant for Rodgers and the Packers offense. He has proved he is worth every penny of his new contract.
