5. Jaire Alexander

For the second week in a row Jaire Alexander held his own against one of the better receivers in the league.

Alexander was matched up against Julian Edelman for most of the first half until Kevin King left the game with a hamstring injury. After the injury, Alexander played mostly outside and did not follow around one particular player.

Outside of one flea flicker, Edelman didn’t do much damage to the Packers and that was due to Alexander.

Alexander may have not made the splash plays that he did the week prior, but he still had a solid game and has proved he is a key piece to build around.

If the Packers can get and keep Kevin King healthy, they will have two cover corners to be the foundation of the defense for years to come.

There is still plenty of time for Alexander to make a big impact this season. I feel we still have a lot more to see from Alexander. He’s constantly been in a position to break up plays; I feel it won’t be too long until he starts making them.
