4. Jake Kumerow

Preseason sensation Jake Kumerow is quickly proving the preseason was no fluke and he is deserving of a place on the team.

Kumerow finished with three catches for 68 yards and his first career touchdown.

On the 49-yard touchdown, Kumerow took advantage of the attention the Jets paid to Jimmy Graham and made a move on safety Jamal Adams and cornerback Darryl Roberts to get into the end zone.

I can only imagine how well Kumerow’s year may have been if not for a shoulder injury costing him more than half the season. Kumerow is a refined route runner and has quickly gained Rodgers’ trust. He will have one more game to continue to build chemistry with Rodgers.

5. Aaron Rodgers

In what was a meaningless game, Aaron Rodgers showed tremendous effort and leadership for his team. Rodgers even had Bryan Bulaga‘s back after he took a punch from Leonard Williams.

Despite being outweighed by about 100 pounds by Williams, Rodgers stood up for his teammate and got in the face of the much larger defender. That will not go unnoticed by his teammates.

Saying all week playing was about leadership, Rodgers backed up his words with his play. He threw for 442 yards and two touchdowns, and had two more touchdowns on the ground while also running in a two-point conversion.

Rodgers was a one-man wrecking crew in the second half and was not going to quit on the game despite having nothing more than pride to play for.

Rodgers showed why he should play in the game connecting with Kumerow, St. Brown and young tight end Robert Tonyan. While the game means nothing in the playoff picture, the game time with those players is valuable.
