Offensive line (10)

David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, Corey Linsley, Billy Turner, Bryan Bulaga, Cole Madison, Lane Taylor, Alex Light, Adam Pankey, Justin McCray

Arguably the most interesting training camp battle will be for starting positions along the offensive line. The Packers could enter the regular season with two new starting guards, but right now your guess is as good as mine.

At the start of the week during the opening practice at minicamp, ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported that Lane Taylor started at left guard and Billy Turner at right guard. Of course, that could quickly change, and rookie Elgton Jenkins will be competing for a starting job. With Taylor, Turner, Jenkins and Cole Madison, the Packers have plenty of competition for places.

I have the Packers going for versatility with their offensive linemen. Turner and Jenkins can, of course, play multiple positions. But Alex Light, Justin McCray and Adam Pankey can all play at more than one position on the offensive line, and would give the Packers good depth.

Ahead of training camp, it’s fair to assume that David Bakhtiari, Bryan Bulaga and Corey Linsley will all start. Guard was the biggest concern at the start of the offseason, but Green Bay now has competition for starting jobs, and that’s ideal.

For now, I have the Packers keeping 10 offensive linemen on the 53-man roster.
