Who will be the standout performer at training camp?

Which player will step up at training camp and force the Packers to either keep them on the 53-man roster, or even put them in the starting lineup when the regular season gets underway?

A year ago, a lot of the focus at training camp was on a new-look wide receiver corps featuring a trio of 2018 draft picks. But while the spotlight was on rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantling, J’Mon Moore and Equanimeous St. Brown, it was Jake Kumerow who stepped up and made play after play. Kumerow continued to build momentum throughout the preseason, making six receptions for 190 yards and two touchdowns in the two games he played in.

Despite the fact not many believed Kumerow had a chance to make the 53-man roster when training camp began, his play throughout the summer gave the Packers no choice.

Who will be the Packers’ standout performer at training camp this summer? It doesn’t necessarily have to be the same situation as last year where a player surprisingly makes the roster. It could be someone stepping up and securing a starting position, or even a starter showing signs of a breakout season. Perhaps it’ll be a second-year player like Oren Burks or J’Mon Moore.
