Packers: Five players to watch in preseason opener vs. Texans
2. Ka’Dar Hollman
Another player who is reportedly playing well at training camp is rookie cornerback Ka’Dar Hollman. The Packers’ depth at corner has been questioned this offseason, but Hollman and second-year Tony Brown are both going a long way to showing why there should be no concerns.
With Josh Jackson out of practice due to injury, Hollman has been given an opportunity to show what he can do. And the sixth-round pick has, so far, proven why he was an excellent choice on the final day of the draft back in April.
Aaron Nagler of Cheesehead TV has been impressed with Hollman at training camp.
Now he’ll have an opportunity to go up against the Texans wide receivers on Thursday night. If Jackson remains out, Hollman could get on the field quite early in the game. Even if the Texans’ starters are out of the game by the time Hollman plays, he’ll still be tested against a talented receiving corps.
After impressing at practice so far this summer, it’s going to be interesting to see Hollman in game action against another team on Thursday night.
Hollman will be a player to watch throughout preseason, and I’m excited about how he can help the secondary this year.
