4. Dolphins linebacker Raekwon McMillan

The Miami Dolphins knew at the beginning of this season that they would be a bad team. They are tanking and selling off assets like crazy to gain more draft capital. Many teams will likely try to take advantage of the fire sale and get a few young players. I think the Packers should be one of those teams.

Linebacker Raekwon McMillan is just 23 years old and is in his second season out of Ohio State after being drafted in the second round of last year’s draft. McMillan does a good job stopping the run, which is something the Packers defense needs help with. He’s not as good in pass coverage, but he can’t be any worse than Goodson has been, and with Savage coming back hopefully soon, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal.

He’s having a good season and isn’t talked about enough. He even made Pro Football Focus’ First-Quarter All-Pro Team this year. If the Packers could snag him, he could be a bigger part of the Packers’ future.

I think McMillan would be a definite upgrade over Goodson and is still in his rookie contract where he would carry a cap hit of just $1.3 million, according to Over The Cap. McMillan’s name hasn’t really popped up anywhere as far as trade rumors, but I think if the Packers offer them something reasonable, the Dolphins could jump at it to continue stockpiling those draft picks.
