5. Bengals receiver A.J. Green

Okay, before you get mad and tell me there’s no way this will happen, I know. This one is a bit of a pipe dream for me. I mean, could you imagine what A.J. Green would do with Aaron Rodgers? Imagine being a defensive coordinator. Pick your poison: Davante Adams or A.J. Green? Good luck.

I know the Bengals have already said they aren’t going to trade him. But why wouldn’t you? They are 0-7 and possibly even worse than the Dolphins, a team that is trying to be bad. Green is 31 years old, in the last year of his current contract and always seems to be hurt. If I’m the Bengals, I’m offloading him because you know there is a team out there that will overpay for him.

Hopefully, that team isn’t the Packers. I would love to see Green in the Green and Gold but at the right price. I don’t think the Packers could justify trading a first-round pick for him, even if it is a late pick. But if they could package a player with a draft pick, maybe that could be enough to grab Green for the rest of this season.

If the Packers were somehow able to pull off a trade for Green (and if he were 100 percent healthy), I think that the Packers’ receiving corps would jump straight up to one of the top three or five groups in the league.

Again, by no means do I think this will happen or is even likely, but it’s fun to think about.
