Week 14: Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins have one win so far this season, and that came against the Miami Dolphins. While that win might ensure Washington doesn’t end up with the first overall pick next spring, it might be the only victory they get all season. Even if the Packers aren’t at their best, it’s difficult to see them not finding a way to win this game.

Washington’s offense ranks near the bottom in almost every category. Points per game? Washington is currently tied for last place with the New York Jets, averaging just 12 points per game. They are 31st in passing offense and have just nine passing touchdowns with nine interceptions in over half the season. Washington only has two rushing touchdowns, tied for the second-lowest total in the NFL.

At home, Green Bay should be able to build a lead and force a couple of turnovers on defense.

A victory here would be a significant one as it’d be the Packers’ 10th, which could possibly secure a playoff berth. But the Packers will have higher ambitions than that. They’ll want to win the division and, if possible, secure a first-round bye in the playoffs. They’ll need more than 10 wins to achieve that goal.

Prediction: Packers 42, Redskins 17 (10-3)
