The two Aarons

If Aaron Rodgers is your quarterback, there is no team you can’t beat. When he’s playing at an MVP level, the Packers can compete with anyone. The same has also applied to Aaron Jones this season. Give him an opportunity and more often than not, he’ll dominate.

The two Aarons have been the stars of the Packers offense this season. Jones has 981 all-purpose yards with an impressive 14 touchdowns, despite splitting carries with Jamaal Williams for much of the season.

Last season’s NFL yards-per-carry leader has taken the next step, becoming a consistent pass catcher in Matt LaFleur’s offense. It’s now on LaFleur to ensure Jones is a big part of the game plan each week.

Even if we assume the Packers make the playoffs, they likely won’t be Super Bowl picks by many people. But if the two Aarons are at their best, the Packers shouldn’t fear any defense. If both players finish the season strong and the Packers can also get Davante Adams more involved on offense, this team will be tough to beat. Few QB-RB-WR trios can compete with Rodgers, Jones and Adams.

Don’t be surprised if Jones adds a few more touchdowns to the 14 he’s already got by the end of the season.
