5. Allen Lazard

The Packers are going to need all of their big stars in the playoffs. Aaron Jones should be focus number one, Davante Adams number two. If the Seahawks find a way to shut both players down, the Packers will need someone to step up and make some plays.

Allen Lazard has been that guy for the better part of the second half of the season.

Lazard has stepped up in a way the Packers hoped others would have. A 2018 late-season addition, Lazard has bypassed others on the depth chart to take hold of the Packers’ number two position. He has made key plays in big moments and has shown the spotlight isn’t too big for him. Now he has a chance to take the next step in that evolution and come up big in the postseason.

Everyone has been waiting for Rodgers to catch fire and light the world up the way he has in the past. I am one of them. For this to happen, another weapon will be needed. Lazard looks like that guy.

If Rodgers does catch fire, he can make anyone better. Lazard has looked pretty good as it is. Maybe together the Packers can catch the momentum at the right time and make something special happen.

The road to the Super Bowl has started, and the Packers now have their turn to make their case.

Winning ugly has been the mantra for the team for 2019. Pretty or ugly, who really cares, none of the opening-round winners looked great in their games, they just won. If the Packers can find a way to win Sunday against Seattle, they will be one step closer to the ultimate goal.
