3 reasons why Packers can win without Davante Adams in Week 4
3. Packers have the best offensive line in football
If Rodgers has time in the pocket, it doesn’t matter who he’s throwing to. In the opening three games, Rodgers has been well-protected and rarely pressured. Pro Football Focus ranked Green Bay’s offensive line first in the NFL entering Week 4, noting that they’ve only allowed 10 pressures after three weeks. Rodgers has only been sacked twice.
Left tackle David Bakhtiari is once again putting together an All-Pro season, but he’s been backed up with phenomenal play across the offensive line. Elgton Jenkins has been asked to play at guard and tackle this season, and he dominated at both positions. Corey Linsley continues to be one of the most underrated centers in football, while Billy Turner, Rick Wagner, Lucas Patrick, and rookie Jon Runyan have all played well.
And they’ve achieved all this despite having close to no continuity across the line. Injuries have forced Matt LaFleur to regularly reshuffle the offensive line, but the results have remained the same.
This offensive line has been dominant this season, and if that continues against the Falcons, Rodgers will pick apart the defense.
And let’s not forget the talent surrounding Rodgers. Aaron Jones is also a great receiver, Robert Tonyan has impressed this season, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling has made a number of big plays. Rookie Josiah Deguara could also return this week.
