1. Richard Sherman, CB

For many years, quarterbacks avoided throwing Richard Sherman’s way whenever possible. Jaire Alexander is causing a similar problem for QBs now. How about getting the two of them together on the same defense in 2021?

In fact, they are Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded cornerbacks since 2019.

Yes, Sherman turns 33 this month. Yes, his best football might be behind him. But he showed in 2019, his last full season, that he can still be an excellent starting cornerback. That season, he helped the San Francisco 49ers reach the Super Bowl and was named a second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler. He had 11 pass defenses and three interceptions in ’19.

Injuries limited Sherman to just five games in 2020, but if he’s back to full strength next season, he’d help make the Packers’ secondary one of the league’s best.

Aaron Rodgers has had some great battles against Sherman over the years with the cornerback having plenty of success against the Packers. Now he can help Green Bay’s defense.

The Packers will likely need to replace Kevin King this offseason. How about one of the best cornerbacks of the past decade? A five-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro, and a star player in the Seahawks’ dominant, Super Bowl-winning defense?

It makes a ton of sense for the Packers.
