4. Arizona Cardinals

On paper, it’s hard to argue the Arizona Cardinals have a strong roster. Especially if J.J. Watt returns in time for the playoffs.

But it’s also hard to argue with their recent record, victory over the Dallas Cowboys aside. Arizona looked well on course for the NFC’s top seed but will now likely have to settle for a wild-card berth after going 4-5 over the past nine games, a bad run that started when the Packers ended its undefeated start.

Still, the Cardinals are not a team to be overlooked. The Packers needed a last-second Rasul Douglas pick to beat them back in October, and they proved their talent with a road win over the Cowboys last week.

3. Los Angeles Rams

If the Rams put it all together, they can defeat anybody.

Matthew Stafford is no stranger to playing in the frozen conditions of Lambeau Field, and finding some success, while Odell Beckham Jr. has become the perfect complement to Cooper Kupp in the passing game.

It’s also hard to ignore a defense featuring All-Pros Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.

The Packers have been too good for the Rams in the two recent meetings — a 36-28 win in Week 12 and a 32-18 victory in last year’s divisional round — but there’s no doubt they are one of the best teams in the NFC.
