Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

If the Packers don’t re-sign All-Pro inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, he won’t be easy to replace. However, Utah’s Devin Lloyd could be a long-term starter in the middle of the Packers’ defense. Campbell showed the importance of having good play at inside linebacker, and Lloyd can definitely provide that.

Like Campbell, Lloyd can do a bit of everything and make plays on all three downs. According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Lloyd had four interceptions and eight sacks in 2021, which was as many as any other linebacker in the country in both categories. NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah believes Lloyd has “Pro Bowl potential”.

Lloyd had 111 tackles last season, as well as 22 tackles for loss and six pass defenses. He can make plays as a pass rusher or in coverage, and he also forces turnovers.

The Packers may re-sign Campbell, but with Davante Adams also a free agent, they may not be able to compete with other offers from elsewhere.

If Campbell isn’t back, the Packers will have a need at inside linebacker. Lloyd could be gone well before the Packers hit the clock, but if he’s still available, they could be getting a long-term starter with star potential in the middle of the defense.
