3. Minnesota Vikings

Unfortunately, this could make a lot of sense for Za’Darius Smith. Over the years, we’ve seen many Packers fan favorites swap green and gold for Minnesota Vikings purple. Let’s just hope Smith isn’t the next to do so.

Edge rusher is one of the Vikings’ biggest offseason needs. In Za’Darius Smith, they would be getting a player who could help their defense improve dramatically.

The Vikings hired former Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and former Packers outside linebackers coach Mike Smith this offseason. It would come as no surprise if Za’Darius Smith was reunited with them in Minnesota.

Mike Smith was popular in Green Bay. With Mike Smith as his outside linebackers coach, Za’Darius Smith made two Pro Bowls and put up 26 sacks in two seasons.

Having to play against Za’Darius Smith twice a season would be tough to take as Packers fans. Not only is he a fan favorite in Green Bay, but Smith would also be a perfect signing for Minnesota as it looks to strengthen its pass rush.

The only reason the Vikings aren’t higher on this list is because even with Smith, it’s unlikely they will be serious NFC contenders in 2022. But it sure would hurt to see Smith playing in Minnesota.
