2. Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Robert Woods is a “prime trade candidate” after the Los Angeles Rams signed Allen Robinson in free agency. Woods tore his ACL in November, but Schefter notes that he’s expected to be back in time for training camp.

Would the Rams be willing to strengthen an NFC rival by trading him to the Packers? That could make this deal difficult, but who knows? If the Packers are willing to give the Rams what they want and Woods is interested in a move to Green Bay, maybe an agreement can be made.

Woods would fit right into Matt LaFleur’s offense. LaFleur was Woods’ offensive coordinator with the Rams in 2017, so he knows exactly how to get the best out of him.

Woods only played in nine games due to injury last year. Between 2018 and 2020, he caught 266 passes for 3,289 yards and 14 touchdowns.

If the Packers paired Woods with a first-round receiver, they could have an outstanding 1a and 1b in LaFleur’s offense.

Woods is coming off a significant injury and it’s unclear whether the Rams would be open to trading him to an NFC rival, but there’s no doubt he could help the Packers fix their need at wide receiver.
