Packers mock draft using The Draft Network simulator

I used The Draft Network’s mock draft machine to put together this three-round mock draft.

Round 1 (22): George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

Like in the first mock, George Karlaftis fell to No. 22 overall. This would be great news for a Packers team in need of some pass-rush help. Take Karlaftis at No. 22 and worry about wide receiver later on.

Round 1 (28): Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Garrett Wilson, Drake London, Jameson Williams, and Chris Olave were all off the board before my pick at No. 22. The only receiver to go after the Karlaftis pick was Jahan Dotson.

That leaves Arkansas’ Treylon Burks for the Packers at No. 28. He could become an instant playmaker in Green Bay’s offense with his physicality and yards-after-catch ability.

Round 2 (53): George Pickens, WR, Georgia

After landing Burks on Day 1, the Packers double down with another talented wide receiver.

I selected Pickens at No. 59 in the Fanspeak mock draft, but the way the board fell in this one, I didn’t want to risk waiting until then.

Round 2 (59): DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M

With wide receiver fixed, the attention shifts back to defense. Travis Jones came off the board at No. 49 overall, but the Packers get another talented defensive lineman with DeMarvin Leal out of Texas A&M.

Round 3 (92): Trey McBride, TE, Colorado State

In all honesty, I didn’t love any of the potential picks here at No. 92. In Trey McBride, the Packers get a talented young tight end to develop. With Marcedes Lewis and Robert Tonyan entering contract years, McBride could begin as a backup with the aim of becoming TE1 in 2023.
