Packers 53-man roster predictions following 2022 NFL Draft
Defensive line (6)
Kenny Clark, Jarran Reed, Dean Lowry, Devonte Wyatt, TJ Slaton, Jonathan Ford
Has the Packers’ defensive line become a strength? It sure feels like it.
Kenny Clark needs no introduction. A two-time Pro Bowler, Clark is one of the best in the league at his position. He just needed some help along the defensive line.
The Packers have provided plenty of that this offseason.
Free-agent addition Jarran Reed is a fantastic signing. Reed offers plenty as an interior pass rusher. He made 10.5 sacks in 2018 with the Seattle Seahawks and can be a starter in Joe Barry’s defense.
First-round pick Devonte Wyatt also helps this defense in a big way. A first-team All-SEC and second-team All-American for Georgia in 2021, Wyatt is strong against both the run and pass.
No Power Five defensive lineman earned a higher Pro Football Focus grade than Wyatt last season.
TJ Slaton is entering his second year. He showed potential as a rookie. The Packers also drafted Jonathan Ford in the seventh round, who could make the roster.
We haven’t even mentioned Dean Lowry, who is coming off a career year with the Packers in 2021.
For the first time in a long time, Green Bay’s defensive line could be a real strength.
