Romeo Doubs makes an instant impact

Overall, it was a good day for the Packers’ wide receivers. Think they have a point to prove after the criticism the entire wide receiver room has received this offseason?

One of my seven bold predictions for training camp was that Romeo Doubs would be the best rookie wide receiver at training camp. And he made an impressive start on Wednesday.

Plays like this one will help his chances of earning more snaps on offense this season.

With Christian Watson and Sammy Watkins both injured to start training camp, Doubs has a huge opportunity to make an impact early on. On Wednesday, he made the most of his opportunities and was one of the Packers’ standout performers.

It will take time to build chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, but there’s no doubting his talent and potential.

As a deep threat, Doubs can contribute early on. He hurt defenses vertically time and again at Nevada, and it’s an area he can help this offense. It took just one practice at training camp to showcase some of his talents.

It’s early days, but it’s a great start for the Packers’ fourth-round pick—something to build on moving forward. I’m excited to see what’s next.
