2. G Quenton Nelson

There’s close to a zero percent chance the Packers will be in the mix to sign Quenton Nelson even if he does hit free agency.

Given the Packers’ consistent investment in their offensive line, there’s no way they would be willing to sign Nelson to a huge deal. However, that’s why it falls into the “dream” signing category.

And a player of Nelson’s quality would significantly help the 2023 Green Bay Packers, regardless of who is at quarterback.

If Aaron Rodgers remains under center, he will be entering his age-40 season. He would need the best protection possible, and you won’t find many better at the guard position than Nelson.

If Rodgers retires and the Packers turn to Jordan Love, it would be just as important to ensure Love is playing behind a rock-solid offensive line.

Nelson has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first four seasons in the NFL. He has also been named a first-team All-Pro three times and a second-team All-Pro once.

The Packers would enter 2023 potentially with David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins at tackle, Nelson at guard, and then two of Josh Myers, Zach Tom, Sean Rhyan, Jon Runyan, or Royce Newman at center and the remaining guard spot.

Not bad. Not bad at all.
