Cornerbacks (6)

Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, Rasul Douglas, Keisean Nixon, Shemar Jean-Charles, Kiondre Thomas

The Packers have a tough decision when it comes to the sixth cornerback spot. Kiondre Thomas is my pick for his work on defense during the preseason, but it may come down to special teams contributions.

That’s where Rico Gafford could be the choice.

If we’re basing it just on defense, it should be Thomas. If special teams are a big factor, Gafford probably gets the final spot.

Safeties (5)

Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage, Shawn Davis, Dallin Leavitt, Micah Abernathy

It’s unclear when Dallin Leavitt will be cleared to return from injury. One option the Packers have is to place him on injured reserve with the aim of bringing him back this season. But to do that, he must first make the initial 53-man roster.

When healthy, there’s no doubt he will be part of the 53. He will be an important special teams player.

Specialists (3)

Mason Crosby (kicker), Pat O’Donnell (punter), Jack Coco (long snapper)

Matt LaFleur is confident Mason Crosby will be healthy in time for Week 1. Pat O’Donnell has been one of the only positives for the Packers on special teams during the preseason. For now, Jack Coco is the long snapper, but that could change.
