Aaron Jones embarrasses Bears’ defense

Matt LaFleur promised to get the ball to Aaron Jones more often, and the Pro Bowl running back repaid the faith with a dominant performance.

Jones put in an electric display, averaging an unbelievable 8.8 yards per carry. He rushed 15 times for 132 yards and a touchdown, while also catching three passes for 38 yards and another score.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jones forced an impressive nine missed tackles and had 85 yards after contact. Absolutely incredible.

In recent years, there has been a night-and-day difference for the offense in games Jones is featured and when he is not.

When Jones performs well, the Packers’ offense is hard to stop. When he either doesn’t get enough opportunities or has a quiet game, we often see the opposite.

Take this season as an example.

Jones only had eight touches in the season opener and the Packers struggled for consistency. He had a featured role Sunday night and Green Bay moved the ball for fun.

AJ Dillon played his part, too, making some tough runs and contributing with 67 total yards. But this night belonged to Aaron Jones.

It was a vintage Jones performance. When he is on top of his game, there isn’t a whole lot opposing defenses can do to stop him.
