Christian Watson continues to impress

Five days. Five touchdowns.

While a disappointing night for the Packers, rookie wide receiver Christian Watson put in another excellent performance.

Following his three-touchdown afternoon against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Watson backed it up with two more touchdown receptions on Thursday.

His first was perhaps his most impressive yet. Aaron Rodgers knew he had a free play. After buying time in the pocket, he floated a 50/50 ball in the air to give Watson a shot. The rookie receiver used all of his athleticism and skill to reach over the defender and make a contested catch.

Over the past two games, Watson has caught eight passes for 155 yards and five touchdowns.

He looks confident and more comfortable out there, and it’s showing. His performance against the Cowboys may have given Watson the confidence to take that next step in his development.

While this may be a lost season for the Packers, it looks like they’ve found a real talent in Watson. He has a bright future ahead of him and can become one of Green Bay’s best offensive players for years to come.

His performance was one of the few positives to take away from Thursday night’s loss to the Titans.
