3. Wide receiver

While not the huge need it was a year ago, wide receiver checks in at number three on the list.

The good news? Christian Watson looks like a star, while Romeo Doubs showed potential before suffering an ankle injury. Together, they could form an excellent wide receiver duo for the Packers over the coming seasons.

But strengthening the wide receiver corps further should be high on the offseason to-do list.

If nothing else, adding a receiver to complement Watson and Doubs would make sense. It could be an affordable free agency move or a draft pick.

Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, and Sammy Watkins are free agents. At least two of them will likely be gone. That’s a lot of experience potentially lost.

If the Packers don’t re-sign Cobb, slot receiver will become a need.

Currently, Green Bay’s wide receivers under contract in 2023 are Watson, Doubs, and Samori Toure. That’s a great place to build from. Watson and Doubs should be starters next season, while Toure could also see his role increase.

But more work is required. If the Packers can add a complementary piece, strengthen the depth, and re-sign Allen Lazard, they will be in a strong position at wide receiver in 2023.
