New York Jets

The New York Jets have a great roster ready to compete in the AFC. They just need a quarterback.

New York’s defense ranked fourth in the NFL for total yards allowed. The Packers found out the hard way how talented their defense is, being held to 10 points in a defeat to the Jets at Lambeau Field.

And it’s not like the Jets don’t have talent on offense.

Rookie wide receiver Garrett Wilson caught 83 passes for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns in his first season. Rookie running back Breece Hall rushed for 463 yards and four touchdowns in only seven games before suffering a season-ending injury. His return will help the Jets’ offense in 2023.

Aaron Rodgers would get to work with a great coach in Robert Saleh, who happens to be one of Matt LaFleur’s close friends. Matt’s brother, Mike LaFleur, is the Jets’ offensive coordinator, so there could be some similarities in the offensive systems.

The Jets are a quarterback away from competing in the AFC. Maybe they draft one this spring, but another possible solution would be to trade for a four-time MVP.

In 2008, the Packers traded Brett Favre to the Jets. In 2023, could they trade Rodgers to the Jets?

Rodgers’ time in New York could prove to be more successful than Favre’s one season there.
