The Green Bay Packers are getting ready for a 2025 season that they hope results in the team winning its fifth Super Bowl championship. The Packers brought the vibes to new, positive heights after they pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys for pass rusher Micah Parsons. Not only that, but they signed him to a four-year, $188 million contract extension.
Packers fans are understandably hyped, as they finally landed the star pass rusher they've needed for quite some time. Now, he gets to make his debut at home on Sunday afternoon, when they take on the Detroit Lions.
While speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Packers quarterback Jordan Love was asked whether he thinks offensive or defensive starters should be introduced at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Love said that it should be defense, just so Parsons can be introduced last and get the huge reception from Packers fans.
Oh, and Love foresees the defense getting a three-and-out against the Lions offense, and Parsons sacking quarterback Jared Goff on third down.
Jordan Love on if Lambeau should announce the offensive or defensive starters Sunday vs. Detroit:

"They gotta do defense. Micah last. Crowd's gonna go crazy. I already see it. Defense go out there first. Get a three and out. Micah get a sack on third down. I already see it."
Jordan Love foresees grand plan for Micah Parsons' Packers debut
That would be quite the way for Parsons to make his debut for the Packers. Making an immediate impact like that and forcing the Lions to punt on the opening drive? Packers fans will certainly sign up for that.
Packers fans were given a bit of a scare shortly after the team introduced Parsons. ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Parsons was dealing with an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back. The plan for Parsons while he was on the Cowboys was to take an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid for five days. If necessary, Parsons would take an epidural injection to make sure he can play on Sunday.
Parsons sat out for most of the summer as he tried to negotiate a new deal. On Wednesday, he was listed as a limited participant during Packers practice.
Whenever Parsons does get introduced during the game on Sunday, you can expect the ovation at Lambeau Field to be thunderous. And it would truly be something if Love's prediction becomes reality.
