If you listened to every fan base in the NFC North outside of Green Bay the past handful of weeks, you might think that Jordan Love's 2025 season was cooked. Quietly, however, the Green Bay Packers' starting quarterback has put together an impressive stretch of games, even with the offense's struggles throughout the month of November.
Love came through with some incredible throws in the team's win on the road against the New York Giants, and has done a lot more for the Packers' offense than the box score is showing over the past four or five games.
Especially considering Love has been dealing with a shoulder injury, it was time for another leader on the team like Micah Parsons to say out loud what everyone else around the NFC North, and NFL overall, is terrified to admit: Jordan Love is balling at the best possible time.
"That's just who he is. He's going to show up, injured, hurt, he's going to fight for his guys and play at the highest level," Parsons said after the Packers' Thanksgiving win. "J-Love is the ultimate competitor. There's not too many quarterbacks that can put up the fight like him, with everything he's going through. All the injuries. He just comes in, and he works. He's starting to show off — the jump he's making this year has been night and day."
Micah Parsons puts Jordan Love haters in their place after Packers win vs. Lions
Thursday's win on the road against the Detroit Lions was the first time since November 2 that Love had thrown for over 200 yards in a game. His four touchdown passes against the Lions represented just the second multi-touchdown game for Love in the month of October.
Again, if you're only watching the box score, you might not be seeing the full picture of what Love has brought to the table. In fact, if you're only watching the box score, you definitely have missed it.
Love is taking care of the football better than just about any quarterback in the NFL right now. He has just three interceptions so far this season, and only one interception since October 12.
Yes, the Packers' offense had struggled as a whole for a bit, but there are not really any offenses in the NFL this season that have been flawless all year. Even the Los Angeles Rams, who look like the hottest team in the league right now, have had some duds offensively.
Jordan Love is quietly playing a lot better than anyone outside of the Packers' fan base would care to admit. Of course, the Packers' win on the road against Detroit with both teams jockeying for that top spot in the NFC North (along with the Bears) is all the evidence you really need.
When Love is at his best, he's playing MVP-caliber football, even when he's banged up.
