For the first time during the 2026 season, every quarterback in the NFC North is coming off a really good game.

Every starting quarterback, that is.

Even though the Vikings and Lions were on a bye in Week 6, both Kyler Murray and Jared Goff played well in their most recent games, and we saw strong performances from both Caleb Williams and Jordan Love in Week 6 wins.

With Jordan Love entering the week in the top spot overall, how much did Caleb Williams's return to action change this week's NFC North QB rankings? Let's dive into it.

It's going to seem unfair, but Kyler Murray is dropping a spot in this week's rankings with Caleb Williams officially returning to action.

As previously mentioned, the Vikings did not play in Week 6, but Murray is still coming off his best game with the team so far. He completed 80 percent of his throws against the Saints, and has completed 76.1 percent of his passes over the last two games.

As good as the Vikings' defense has played so far this season, they really just need Murray to be a game manager right now, not make mistakes, and provide the occasional splash. They need someone who can be accurate and on-time getting the ball to Justin Jefferson and the rest of those playmakers they have at receiver.

So far, Murray appears to be acclimating himself pretty well to the Kevin O'Connell offense.

Coming off the bye, the Vikings will host the Indianapolis Colts in Minneapolis. We'll get another good gauge on his progress against a desperate opponent.

We said last week that the "bat signal" was out for Caleb Williams after a disastrous outing from Tyson Bagent in Week 5. After seeing Williams back in action in Week 6, that type of talk was justified.

Williams returned to action like he never left, helping the Bears' offense put up 31 points and completing 30-of-36 passes (83.3 percent) in a win over the Falcons.

It was a very good performance from Williams, who has been getting criticized a little bit unfairly for playing the role of point guard with a lot of shorter throws vs. Atlanta. That's the name of the game in the NFL these days.

We've seen Williams make plays out of structure, we've seen him hit throws deep down the field, and we've seen him benefit from the running game and YAC. Regardless of how much or how little he might get "helped" on a week-to-week basis, he is right up there with the best QBs in the league in terms of pure talent.

For the time being, he's coming in at 3rd on this list, but that's really just because we've seen so much this season from Jared Goff and Jordan Love already. Ben Johnson drew up a game plan for Williams to. get the ball out of his hands quickly, and he did it exceptionally well.

Jared Goff was on a bye in Week 6, and some of the quarterback play elsewhere around the NFL this past week just makes you appreciate his consistency, if nothing else.

And to be honest, I'm not sure what's more impressive about Goff at this point: His high floor on a weekly basis or the numbers he's putting up right now. The combination of those two things leads to an enviable level of play at the quarterback position every single week for this Lions team that most teams just don't get.

He has multiple touchdown passes in all but one game so far this season, and is averaging nearly 300 yards passing per game.

Goff and the Lions will be hosting the Green Bay Packers for a big-time showdown in Week 7, and it could be the game of the week in the NFL.

It's going to be fascinating to see how the Packers are able to get to Goff after watching them fluster Dak Prescott consistently in Week 6.

There will be plenty more on that matchup to come, but as of right now, it's clear that we'll be watching the two best quarterbacks in the NFC North (so far) in the 2026 season when they take the field.

We've seen plenty already this season to know that Jordan Love is on another level from other quarterbacks in the league right now.

He's not immune from mistakes or bad throws, but there are just not many quarterbacks who can impact the game like he can. With his combination of arm talent, understanding of what defenses are trying to throw at him, as well as his athleticism, Love can really do anything.

We're seeing MVP-caliber play from him over the past couple of weeks, and he's doing it with absolutely no running game to speak of. The Packers are also leaving a lot on the field and dropping a ton of passes (nine percent).

That's the highest drop rate in the NFL right now, and the second-most yards lost due to drops of any quarterback in the league. That would help explain why his completion rate has dipped below 60 percent on a number of occasions.

As good as Jared Goff has been so far this season, Love's ceiling is higher than anyone else's in this division. He's in that type of mode right now where you almost start to wonder: Is it Toyotathon already?
