Since the Green Bay Packers originally traded Davante Adams, it's no secret that the team has had a difficult time finding his replacement.

It's been more by committee than anything, because replacing that kind of talent is nearly impossible, especially when he was in the thick of his prime.

Now, the New York Jets are in a similar situation, having to reload their wide receiver room after Adams left for the L.A. Rams. Of course, the Jets have Garrett Wilson. But, who is the clear-cut no. 2 option?

Even though the 2025 NFL Draft is gone and over with, there are still options out there for teams needing to plug some holes. And, the Jets were recently linked to the most ironic replacement for Adams possible -- out of Green Bay.

Romeo Doubs being linked to the Jets sets up true poetry in motion for the Packers

In a recent segment from Bleacher Report, the Jets were linked to Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs in a possible trade.

The funny part is, Doubs was the guy who came in to originally help replace Adams in Green Bay to begin with. Adams was dealt to the Raiders prior to the 2022 season while the Packers drafted Doubs in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Now widely looked at as a trade candidate, especially after the Packers' 2025 draft decisions, Doubs could be on his way out shortly. The biggest questions have been, to where, and when exactly will a trade happen?

The Jets do make some sense, as they've essentially banked on Allen Lazard to be their no. 2 guy next to Wilson. Josh Reynolds could overtake that spot and veteran Tyler Johnson is there as well, along with fourth-round rookie Arian Smith.

But, Doubs could come in and take over that position right away.

It would be even funnier because Doubs also practically replaced Lazard's production after he left for New York in 2023.

Will a Doubs trade happen? It seems likely. But, to the Jets? We'll have to wait and see.
