Packers depth chart reveals bold post-draft shakeup at key positions

Matthew Golden isn't the only new Packer who will crack the starting lineup this September.

It's no secret that the Green Bay Packers didn't do much once free agency began back in March.

Truth be told, they actually lost more players than they signed during the initial wave, saying goodbye to running back AJ Dillon (Eagles), cornerback Eric Stokes (Raiders), defensive lineman T.J. Slaton (Bengals), center Josh Myers (Jets), linebacker Eric Wilson (Vikings), and cornerback Corey Ballentine (Colts) while only adding offensive guard Aaron Banks, cornerback Nate Hobbs, and wide receiver/kick returner Mecole Hardman.

They've since added linebackers Kristian Welch and Isaiah Simmons, but it's not as if those are overly impactful signings.

However, the Packers undoubtedly added plenty of players in the 2025 NFL Draft who could come in and make an immediate impact, obviously including Matthew Golden, who famously became the first wideout taken by Green Bay in the first round since Javon Walker in 2002.

After adding some depth on the offensive line in Round 2 with Anthony Belton, Green Bay added yet another weapon for Jordan Love in Round 3, selecting TCU wideout Savion Williams, who has drawn comparisons to Deebo Samuel and Cordarrelle Patterson.

Edge rusher Barryn Sorrell was added in Round 4, and the Packers closed out Day 3 with linebacker Collin Oliver in Round 5, defensive tackle Warren Brinson in Round 6, and defensive back Micah Robinson and offensive lineman John Williams in Round 7.

Given these additions, while also taking into account a few of the undrafted free agent signings, here are our projections on what the Packers' depth chart might look like when training camp begins.

And yes, we are including Jaire Alexander here. He may still be released or traded at some point, but as neither has yet to occur, his spot is still intact. You may also notice some names in spots that might not belong due to injuries, such as Christian Watson, who's expected to miss the start of the season as he continues to recover from a torn ACL.

But we'll go ahead and base this on everyone being at full strength.
