It's officially Packers Prediction SZN. The last two weeks have been spent in the weird daze that comes with losing a playoff game in such underwhelming fashion, but that's over and done with. The 2024 eulogies have been written, we had our silly little 'Fire Matt LaFleur' phase, and now it's onto 2025.
And who better to usher us into the new Packers season than Bleacher Report? The fine folks at B/R wasted no time cranking out offseason content.

First up is cap casualties. B/R went team-by-team and picked out two to three guys on each squad that may not be around when camp opens next July, and the Packers' choices are a doozy – an unsurprising doozy, but a doozy nonetheless. Hope you have some creative ideas for how to refashion that Jaire Alexander jersey.
B/R predicts that Packers fans have seen the last of Jaire Alexander in Green Bay
Bleacher Report named Alexander as one of the Packers' potential candidates, which isn't surprising based on his recent comments.
From B/R:
"He is being paid like one of the top corners in the league, but his health has become an issue. He's only played in 14 games over the past two seasons. There are going to be other solutions than outright cutting him. He could be a restructure or trade candidate, but a pre-June 1 cut would save the organization $7.3 million in 2025 cap space. A post-June 1 cut would create $17.5 million."
I'd like to thank B/R for the content, although it's not like they're exactly going out on a limb by predicting *Jaire Alexander* is the guy that gets cut this offseason. Alexander's future in Green Bay has been openly speculated about since, like, mid-October, and GM Brian Gutekunst didn't do much to sway that opinion in his end-of-season press conference last week.
The other two choices were backup quarterback Malik Willis and long snapper Matthew Orzech, which are (no offense to either guy) two of the most uninteresting choices possible. I guess that means the Packers are in pretty good shape, at least?
