The Green Bay Packers are gearing up for the 2026 season, and they now know what their schedule looks like. While the opponents were already known, the NFL recently released the full schedule for the entire league, letting everyone know the order of their games, what days they will play, and at what time.
The schedule reveal was pretty important for the Packers because they could be without Micah Parsons to start the season. The star defender is recovering from a torn ACL, and it's currently unclear when he'll be ready to go. Understanding that, Green Bay would naturally want its toughest games later in the season, when Parsons should be healthy and on the field.
With the schedule out, it looks like the Packers got their wish. ESPN Milwaukee radio host Jen Lada highlighted that on a Friday episode of Jen, Gabe, and Chewy. Assuming that Parsons starts the year on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, keeping him out for the first four games, Lada argues that the first four games are winnable games even without the star defender.

ESPN Milwaukee says Packers can win first four games without Micah Parsons
Green Bay will start the season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings. Division games always find a way to be tough, and Minnesota is expected to be improved this year after a 9-8 finish in 2025. Still, this is a game that should be competitive, and one the Packers could absolutely win.
The Packers then go on the road to face the New York Jets. The Jets won three games in 2025, and while this season isn't last season, Green Bay should absolutely take care of business.
After that, the team finally plays its home opener, hosting the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night Football. Atlanta was an eight-win team in 2025, but it's loaded with young talent on both sides of the ball. The Falcons have the potential to be a really good team, but even if they are, they shouldn't be levels above Green Bay.
The fourth game of the season for the Packers is back on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is another eight-win team in 2025, and like the other three opponents, are a team that Green Bay should absolutely be able to compete with.
So while each season is its own entity, meaning it's hard to predict the quality of teams, the Packers seemingly have a start to their schedule that will allow them to stay afloat if Micah Parsons starts the year on the PUP list.
