The Green Bay Packers land in the bottom half of the league for 2024 salary cap space, even with Aaron Rodgers' contract coming off the books. It could limit their spending in free agency, which may be a concern when it comes to re-signing their own players.

Green Bay tends to find a way to keep its star players in free agency, but it's impossible to re-sign everybody.

A few key Packers starters have expiring contracts next offseason. Losing these three players in 2024 would be concerning.

3. Yosh Nijman

Finding quality tackles isn't easy. Yosh Nijman is competing with second-year Zach Tom for the right tackle opening this summer. But even if he isn't part of the starting offensive line this season, the Packers will need Nijman in 2024.

Starting left tackle David Bakhtiari is likely entering his final season with the Packers. Assuming he isn't back with the team next year, depth at the position becomes a real concern.

By re-signing Nijman, the Packers would at least have two solid starters at each tackle spot and could then focus on strengthening their depth via the draft.

However, drafting a rookie to start immediately is risky. The Packers could be forced to do so if they lose Nijman in free agency.
