4. Green Bay Packers should sign Carson Wentz as a backup QB

Looking around the league, there are very few teams that need to upgrade their backup QB situation more than the Green Bay Packers. Behind Jordan Love on the depth chart are Sean Clifford and Danny Etling. As I said earlier, I think the Packers should expect to be competitive this year, and although not every team is going to be able to have the best possible backup situation, Carson Wentz is just sitting out there and would be a considerable upgrade from what the Packers have.

Plus, the guy has played his best football wearing green dating back to college...

All kidding aside, despite the fact that there might be some outrage over this type of move due to Carson Wentz being a high-profile name, I think adding him would be a necessary fail-safe in case Jordan Love gets hurt. It wouldn't be a signing to necessarily turn to Wentz if Love stinks, but you never know. Maybe Wentz could be the next Ryan Tannehill...

5. Please sign DeAndre Hopkins

Someone is going to sign DeAndre Hopkins. Why not the Packers?

The Packers have a number of young receivers worth investing in through on-field reps. I completely get that. But they also have a young quarterback who is in a critical stage of his development. As much as you'd love to see the young QB grow with his young receivers and young tight ends, you might need some veteran help at one of those two positions.

Although Hopkins would be a major signing at this point, the Packers should undoubtedly be monitoring his situation and considering the possibility that he could really help bring a player like Jordan Love along in the NFL.
