Aaron Jones' comments about Vikings home opener will make Packers fans sick
Green Bay Packers fans continue to debate whether replacing Aaron Jones with Josh Jacobs was the right decision.
Jacobs made a slow start to his Packers debut, rushing for only four yards from six first-half carries. He bounced back, finishing Week 1 with 84 yards from 16 attempts, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
Jones had a far more convincing debut with the Minnesota Vikings, rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown while averaging an impressive 6.7 yards per attempt. He earned PFF's highest grade among running backs in Week 1.

The reason it's so hard to watch Jones wearing Vikings purple is because of how beloved he was in Green Bay—and still is. Not only did he provide unforgettable memories over the years, but Jones was the ultimate team player and is an incredible person off the field. Packers fans wish him well, but it's tough to enjoy his big rushing performances when he is playing for a division rival.
As he prepares for the Vikings' home opener, Jones said something Packers fans never thought they would hear.
Aaron Jones says he can't wait to hear the 'Skol' chant in Vikings home opener
A little over eight months ago, Jones gave Vikings cornerback Andrew Booth an "L" after the Packers' 33-10 win at U.S. Bank Stadium. He was trolling Vikings players in their own stadium. Fast forward to the present day, and he can't wait to hear the Skol chant?
He really said it.
"I'm so ready to hear that, the horn," said Jones. "I've seen it from the other side, and let me tell you, it's contagious. When you're on the other sideline, you're trying not to clap. You're trying not to get into it."
Is this real? Aaron Jones, one of the greatest running backs in Packers history, is excited to play for the Vikings and hear the 'Skol' chants? It would be like Adrian Peterson signing with the Packers and saying he can't wait to wear a Cheesehead and make a Lambeau Leap while singing "Bang the Drum All Day." It just wouldn't be right.
Why does it hurt so much? Because Jones is one of the most popular Packers players in recent memory. He is impossible to root against.
Jones dominated against the Vikings over the years, averaging 5.7 yards per carry while totaling 1,005 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns against them. In 2019, his 56-yard touchdown run sealed a famous Packers win, and the NFC North title, at U.S. Bank Stadium.
It makes it all the more heartbreaking to watch Jones in Vikings gear doing the 'Skol' chant.
