The Green Bay Packers are in an 0-1 hole and they might have to get out of it without star quarterback Jordan Love, who was injured in the first game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles. He is officially questionable for Week 2 due to a sprained MCL.

As frustrating as Love's injury is, the Packers don't have time to wallow in despair -- they have to go win a game at home against the Indianapolis Colts.

If the Packers are going to beat the Colts -- one of the most athletically impressive teams in the league -- they will need a lot of other areas of the team to pick up the slack.

Let's make our bold predictions for the Packers in Week 2 of the 2024 season, as they likely prepare to take on the Colts without their star QB.

Josh Jacobs runs wild in Green Bay Packers bold predictions for Week 2

1. Josh Jacobs racks up 200-plus yards from scrimmage

Hey, why not?

Josh Jacobs was signed to a big-money contract this offseason, and it wasn't just to show that the Packers are willing to be aggressive in free agency when they know they've got their QB of the future in place. The Packers signed Jacobs because they knew they could put him to work.

In their Week 1 loss against the Eagles, Jacobs had 18 total touches for 104 total yards from scrimmage. In Week 2, what if he goes for at least double that total yardage?

Jacobs has not had such a game since his 2022 All-Pro season with the Las Vegas Raiders, but we know it's possible for him because he has done it in the past. Jacobs would probably need to have at least 120 rushing yards and bust off a huge catch-and-run to make this happen, but he's going to get fed the ball a lot against the Colts.

2. Packers defense racks up three interceptions

If the Packers are going to beat the Colts in Week 2, they're going to need the defense to step up in a big way. The unit had some bright moments in Week 1 against the Eagles, but ultimately was far too porous in Jeff Hafley's debut as defensive coordinator.

We need to see this unit bounce back in Week 2 anyway, so they might as well go out there and start taking the ball away left and right.

My second bold prediction for the Packers here in Week 2 is that they come out against the Colts and get three interceptions off of Anthony Richardson. Richardson has a big arm on him, but he did throw an interception on one of his mere 19 attempts passing last weekend.

3. Malik Willis runs for 80-plus yards

The Packers are going to have to run the ball a lot to win this game against the Colts, and that happens to be one of the areas in which Malik Willis can really thrive.

Willis has struggled as a passer in the NFL but he can run the ball, and if the Packers design a number of running plays for him, I think he's going to have a lot of success.

I'm predicting we see Willis go off for at least 80 yards rushing in this game against the Colts. He may need to break off at least one 30-yard run in order to make this happen, but that should be no issue for him.
