Brett Favre sends uplifting message to Jordan Love after Packers' loss to Vikings
Jordan Love arrived wearing Brett Favre's No. 4 jersey, and he put in a Favre-like performance in the Green Bay Packers' 31-29 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Love showed the toughness to play through injury, as he is still less than 100 percent due to the sprained MCL he suffered in Week 1. Favre set the standard for playing hurt in Green Bay. Love also made some big-time plays, throwing four touchdowns, including three in the fourth quarter. However, also like Favre, Love had three costly interceptions.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Love became the first Packers quarterback to throw four touchdowns and three interceptions in a game since 1999. The last player to do it? Favre.
Favre appreciated Love's classy gesture before the game. Love showed support to the Hall of Famer, who recently announced he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Following the game, Favre again sent some love his way.

Favre is absolutely right.
While Love made a few costly mistakes, he certainly wasn't the only player to blame for the Packers' divisional defeat. He also rallied the offense and made some huge plays, often in the direction of Dontayvion Wicks.
Not only was Love less than 100 percent, but he was also playing his first real-game action in three weeks. It took some time to find rhythm, but the entire offense reached another level once he did.
Favre is right. Nothing that happened in Week 4 will define Love's career. Along with the frustrating moments, he showed a lot of promise. Once he's fully healthy, the Packers' offense can again become one of the league's best.
