How to watch Packers vs. Browns preseason Week 1: Start time, TV channel and injury report

The long offseason is over. Green Bay Packers football returns today with the preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns.

Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed quarterback Jordan Love and most of the starters will play, but likely not for long. Sean Clifford will take the majority of the quarterback snaps once Love leaves the game, and rookie Michael Pratt will make his preseason debut.

Several new additions will take the field for the first time with the Packers, but the team could be without its top two draft picks, Jordan Morgan and Edgerrin Cooper, due to injury.

While we will see the starters briefly, the preseason gives LaFleur an extended look at the players on the roster bubble. There's a lot on the line in this afternoon's game.

The Packers begin their preseason on the road with a trip to Cleveland. You can watch this game live across the Packers TV Network, which includes WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee and WGBA-TV in Green Bay.

Green Bay is expected to play its starters, although Matt LaFleur didn't reveal how long they will be out there for. Cleveland will sit many of its starters, including quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Both teams have long injury lists and will likely be cautious with those players. While the Packers will have their starters on the field, Matt LaFleur said they will be "smart" and likely won't feature players dealing with injuries. Even Zach Tom, who participated in team drills this week, is likely out.

Tight end Tucker Kraft revealed that he won't play in at least the opening two preseason games. His focus is on preparing for the regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
