The Green Bay Packers' offensive line depth is becoming a bigger conversation as training camp progresses. First-round pick Jordan Morgan has played almost exclusively at guard with limited tackle snaps. Meanwhile, none of the Packers' backup tackles have provided adequate cover in Zach Tom's absence.

Morgan is in pole position to start at right guard this season, but the rookie left Tuesday's practice early due to an undisclosed injury.

ESPN's Rob Demovsky reported that Morgan left the practice field with a member of the Packers' medical staff. He didn't return to practice.

It's unclear what issue Morgan is dealing with. We will hopefully get an update from Matt LaFleur on Wednesday morning before practice.

The Packers still haven't had their preferred starting five on the field together this summer. Zach Tom returned to team drills on Tuesday, which is great news, but Morgan left early. Hopefully, it's nothing serious.

Matt LaFleur confirms Jordan Love and starters will play in Packers' preseason opener

Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed the Packers' starters, including Jordan Love, will play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns.

"We'll be smart with those guys. The last thing we want to do is put guys at risk," said LaFleur. "At the same time, I do think the preparation of getting ready for a game is invaluable. Why not use those opportunities?"

LaFleur may have learned from the 2021 and 2022 seasons. The starters didn't play much in the preseason, and the team couldn't get out of first gear in Week 1, losing the two openers by a combined 61-10. Last year, he gave starters plenty of preseason reps, and they came out of the gate much faster.

He said they are still determining how many snaps the starters will get, but we will see them out there on Saturday.

Tucker Kraft provides timeline on his return from injury

One player who won't be out there in the preseason opener is Tucker Kraft. The second-year tight end returned to individual drills on Tuesday, having been sidelined with a pec injury.

He provided an update on when he could be full-go.

"Those next two [preseason] games are not on the plate. We're worried about Brazil," said Kraft. "I'm not supposed to talk about timelines and stuff like that, but you see me out there today, you'll see me in Brazil."

Kraft ruled himself out of the opening two preseason games and isn't sure about the third contest against the Baltimore Ravens. But as he said, his focus is on getting ready for Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.
