The Green Bay Packers have released their first unofficial depth chart of the summer. It's important not to overreact or draw conclusions, as things will constantly change between now and the season opener. However, it does serve as a guide to where things stand two weeks into training camp.

Some takeaways are more significant than others. For example, Anders Carlson sitting ahead of Greg Joseph means nothing. The kicking competition is too close to call. If anything, Joseph has a slight advantage.

The unofficial depth chart is hardly the be-all and end-all, but it provides some insight into where the Packers view players on the roster bubble.

It also gives us a glimpse into how the offensive line depth could shake out in the weeks ahead.

Packers draft pick Travis Glover could miss out on a roster spot

There are no real surprises along the offensive line. The starting five are Rasheed Walker, Elgton Jenkins, Josh Myers, Jordan Morgan, and Zach Tom. Morgan has played most of his snaps at right guard and is getting a lot of first-team work.

But what about another rookie, offensive tackle Travis Glover?

The Packers selected Glover in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but the early signs point toward spending a season on the practice squad. Green Bay currently lists veteran Andre Dillard and Kadeem Telfort as the backup tackles, with Glover as part of the third team.

Dillard, Telfort, and Caleb Jones all played snaps during the Family Night practice, but not Glover. He didn't get an opportunity.

The swing tackle job is wide open, but Glover is currently on the outside looking in.

The rookie still has time to turn things around this summer, but it must start this week in the preseason. Strong performances in the upcoming games will earn him more opportunities to show what he can do.

If Green Bay had to trim its roster to 53 players today, Glover almost certainly wouldn't make it. The good news? The Packers have an excellent track record of developing offensive linemen, and a season on the practice squad may be exactly what Glover needs.
