The Green Bay Packers won't have Romeo Doubs on the field this week after suspending him for one game. Beyond that, who knows?

While the Packers are saying all the right things, they are in a tough spot. Doubs reportedly didn't show up to practice due to frustrations about his role with the offense. How can the team fix that without forcing the ball his way? This offense is built to spread the ball around to its playmakers.

Green Bay may hope to resolve things with Doubs, but it hasn't stopped other teams from showing interest in a trade.

According to Jonathan Jones of CBS, teams have called the Packers to check in about Doubs' availability.

Packers reportedly shut down trade discussions about Romeo Doubs

Jones added that the Packers have "no interest" in moving on from Doubs, which is a sign they believe they can move forward with their former fourth-round pick after his suspension.

That's a good sign, as it suggests Green Bay has confidence it won't be a long-term issue. But only time will tell.

Doubs only has 12 catches for 169 yards through four games, but the Packers didn't have Jordan Love for two games and became a run-heavy offense. Love has targeted Doubs 15 times in their two games together, and Doubs led the team in targets last season. There are still opportunities for the third-year receiver.

As Jones' report indicates, if the situation changes, the Packers would have no shortage of interest from around the league.

The Packers have to find a way to win without Doubs and Christian Watson, who is doubtful with an ankle injury. They have good receiving depth, with Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and tight end Tucker Kraft leading the way in their absence. Bo Melton and Malik Heath should also get increased opportunities.

Doubs won't play this week, but the Packers seemingly have no interest in a trade.
