Predicting the Packers' next 5 games after their bye in Week 5

Spoiler alert: We won't predict any ties for the Packers in their next five games.

Well, after all the hype surrounding Micah Parsons' return to AT&T Stadium to face the Dallas Cowboys for the first time as a member of the Green Bay Packers, the longtime rivals ultimately battled to a tie.

Granted, it was one of the most entertaining ties of all time, as the 40-40 final represented the second-highest-scoring draw in professional football history, trailing only the 43-43 stalemate between the Raiders and Patriots during the 1964 AFL season.

But it was a tie nonetheless, which certainly wasn't what Green Bay was hoping for, as Matt LaFleur & Co. entered the game favored by at least a touchdown from most of the major sportsbooks. But a tie is at least better than a second straight loss, which was undoubtedly on the table late in the game.

But that's all in the past now, so let's shift our focus to the future, specifically the Packers' next five games and what their current 2-1-1 record will look like at the end of that stretch. Green Bay, of course, has a bye in Week 5, so we'll obviously kick things off with the Green & Gold's matchup with the struggling Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6.

Week 6 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Since the Bengals lost Joe Burrow during their Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, they've suffered a pair of brutal defeats with Jake Browning under center, taking a 48-10 whooping at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 and a 28-3 thumping to the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football to close out Week 4.

Browning subbing for Burrow is obviously a problem, but it's certainly not the only one for this team, as the Cincinnati defense is obviously struggling as well. The Packers should be able to put up similar offensive numbers to the ones they did against Dallas, but expect the Green Bay defense to put forth a much better effort here.

Prediction: Packers win 35-10, Record: 3-1-1

Week 7 at Arizona Cardinals

While the Arizona Cardinals started the season at 2-0, it was a little difficult to know what to make of this team, as those two victories came against the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, who currently have a combined record of 1-7.

Facing far better competition in Weeks 3 and 4, the Cards took losses to the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. To be fair, though, both defeats came on last-second field goals, as the Cards were competitive in both matchups.

It'll be interesting to see how they fare over the next couple of weeks against the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts, but I can't see Arizona giving Green Bay a ton of trouble.

Prediction: Packers win 24-13; Record: 4-1-1

Week 8 at Pittsburgh Steelers

October 26 is a date that Cheeseheads everywhere have had circled on their calendars since the moment the 2025 NFL schedule was released, as Week 8 will see the Packers visit the Pittsburgh Steelers, which obviously means this is the first and likely only time Green Bay will square off against Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers is off to a solid start with the Steelers, leading the team to a 3-1 start and making all sorts of NFL history in the process. One could easily assume Pittsburgh will enter this game with a 5-1 record. Like the Packers, the Steelers have a bye next week and will then face the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals in the two weeks leading into the primetime matchup with Green Bay on Sunday Night Football.

With a win, Rodgers would become just the fifth quarterback to defeat all 32 current NFL franchises, but we're calling for the Packers to keep him from making that history. It'll be close, but Green Bay pulls out a late win in this one.

Prediction: Packers win 24-21; Record: 5-1-1

Week 9 vs. Carolina Panthers

Just when you think the Carolina Panthers had things figured out with a 30-0 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3, they go into Foxborough in Week 4 and take a 42-13 loss to the New England Patriots.

Just imagine how demoralized the Panthers will be when they visit Lambeau Field after having to face the Buffalo Bills one week earlier. This is going to be a rough two-week stretch for Carolina.

Prediction: Packers win 34-7 ; Record: 6-1-1

Week 10 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Sorry, Cheeseheads, as much as we'd like to give you five straight wins coming out of the bye, we just can't do it.

The Packers have lost three straight to the Philadelphia Eagles, two of those defeats coming just last season, and we're calling for that streak to extend to four.

While the defending Super Bowl champs have looked a little vulnerable at times through the first four weeks of this season, they continue to find ways to win, even when they're not at their best. To make matters worse, the Eagles will be coming off their bye week when they meet the Packers for this Monday Night Football matchup, so they'll be nice and rested.

Green Bay will give Philly a game, for sure, especially with it being at Lambeau, but we just don't see a win happening at this time.

Prediction: Packers lose 21-20; Record: 6-2-1
