Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Romeo Doubs will return for the Green Bay Packers' game against the Arizona Cardinals this week. The third-year wide receiver broke his silence, speaking to reporters for the first time since his one-game suspension.

Understandably, Doubs didn't want to dive into the details of his suspension but reiterated that he was thankful to be back.

"I had some things going on mentally," said Doubs, via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "I do not feel comfortable getting too deep into that. I had some things going on. I did my best communicating, and I'm just thankful that I'm here right now."

It was reported that Doubs had skipped practice over frustration about his role within the Packers' offense. However, Doubs denied this.

"I had to make sure that I got the family together again," said Doubs, via The Athletic's Matt Schneidman. "I'd say there was some things going on off the field, so as far as just the organization and just the staff, players, there's nothing going on within that area, so I just wanna make myself clear there."

Romeo Doubs responds to Christian Watson's comments about suspension

Earlier this week, Christian Watson said there could be a "few bumps in the road trying to get that togetherness and that family feeling back" following Doubs' suspension. The Athletic's Matt Schneidman brought up Watson's brutally honest comments and asked whether Doubs feels he needs to regain his teammates' trust.

"That's a great question, man," said Doubs. "To be honest, I do not feel comfortable answering that ... I'm thankful that I'm here now."

Doubs paused while answering the question. He took time to think about his response and didn't want to go into the details, which is understandable. Doubs also said he addressed the team when he returned this week and "absolutely" wishes he handled things differently.

Hopefully, Doubs and the Packers can draw a line under it and move forward. His first interview after the suspension was always going to be difficult while facing tough questions about his decision to skip practice.

Hopefully, Doubs is doing OK and can move past last week's suspension. The team has addressed it, and it's time for everyone to move on and look forward.

Doubs will return for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, and we can assume he will pick up where he left off as one of Jordan Love's favorite targets.

Here's to Doubs having a huge performance.
