  You know it’s a slow news week in the NFL when the top story at last week’s end was about the coaches not having to take a pay cut and something about offensive linemen getting together to compare daily menus … Ahem … To work out.

Have you ever been to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame? If not, put it on your bucket list.

The lockout and the possibility of a standoff between players and management well into this year’s training camps and maybe into the season raises some interesting questions: Number one being, what the hell do we do if there is no season?

The announcement this week that the NFL had granted an exemption to the Packers to gather together June 16 for a celebration and to receive their world championship rings earned with their Super Bowl win back in February was good news to all in Packers Nation.

The euphoria of the 2010 Super Bowl championship started at rock bottom.

Everyone remembers the dominant teams of the 1990s, namely the Cowboys and the Brett Favre-led Packers teams.

Damn those Milwaukee Brewers! I love ‘em, but they are on pace to throw off my football schedule. You see, with the exception of 2009 when the Brewers actually qualified for the playoffs, the Brewers year-in and year-out have started slowly and were inevitably out of contention by no later than the middle of May … Some years they were mathematically and morally done by the end of June. What that meant is that Wisconsin sports fans were ready to start talking, sleeping and eating Green Bay Packers football. They were already booking hotel rooms for August to watch training [...]

We know you love the Green Bay Packers … you wouldn’t be here otherwise. We also know that Packers fans love talking and writing about their beloved team … whether it’s in an email to a friend, a letter to the editor or banter around the water cooler on Monday morning (do businesses actually still have water coolers?).
