GREEN BAY, WI – OCTOBER 15: Aaron Rodgers #12 and Davante Adams #17 of the Green Bay Packers celebrate after scoring a touchdown in the first quarter against the San Francisco 49ers at Lambeau Field on October 15, 2018 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images) /

1. Davante Adams

Adams has now stacked together two amazing weeks. Adams’ 10 receptions for 132 and two touchdowns led the way for the Packers.

Simply put, Adams could not be stopped. This was especially true in the fourth quarter when he was the main contributor on the game-tying and game-winning drives. No matter who the 49ers put on Adams, no matter what coverage they rolled his way, he found open space and made the catch. Even the great Richard Sherman had to hold downfield to try and stop Adams.

Adams has moved into the number receiver role quite nicely this season. His six touchdown grabs are tied for the league lead, and he ranks no lower than sixth in every other statistical category.

Aaron Rodgers is not one to force feed the football. He has said time and again that he throws to whoever is open. And lately that’s been Adams.

The return to health of Geronimo Allison and Randall Cobb may open the field more for Adams. At the moment with those two out, teams can focus on Adams and make Rodgers beat them with rookies.

The task won’t get easier in the coming weeks. Marcus Peters and Stephon Gilmore await as well as another showdown with Xavier Rhodes. If Adams can keep up this level of play it won’t matter who’s across from him, he will find a way to win his battle.
