6. Jake Kumerow, Wide Receiver

Nobody will be surprised if Jake Kumerow makes the 53-man roster this year. One of the Green Bay Packers’ top performers throughout the offseason and training camp in 2018, Kumerow will be aiming to build on last year’s success and become a regular part of Matt LaFleur’s offense in the regular season.

And so far this summer, so good. Kumerow was named the Packers’ biggest standout of the offseason by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report last month.

The wide receiver position is crowded, but that was exactly the same last summer and it didn’t stop Kumerow outperforming just about everyone then. In a new offense, Kumerow has as good an opportunity as anyone to quickly adjust and prove he can consistently make plays in LaFleur’s offense.

But after a frustration 2018 season with Kumerow sidelined for most of it due to injury, he’ll be looking to bounce back this year. He caught his first touchdown pass for the Packers in the Week 16 win against the New York Jets.

With another impressive training camp, the Packers will again have no choice but to keep Kumerow on the roster, and he’ll be one of the top players to watch when camp underway later this month.
