4 blockbuster Packers trades that would rock the league
4. Packers could trade for Brandon Aiyuk or Courtland Sutton
The San Francisco 49ers are one of the most talented teams in the NFL, but they can't pay everybody. Brandon Aiyuk was a first-round pick for them in the 2020 NFL Draft, and if the 49ers don't make other adjustments to their roster, Aiyuk could be headed elsewhere via trade this offseason.
The question right now is whether or not the 49ers would want to do business like this with the Green Bay Packers, considering how close the Packers had them on the brink of elimination in the playoffs. But Aiyuk could be a great fit with Matt LaFleur and his offense, especially with LaFleur and Kyle Shanahan coming from the same coaching tree.
Another wide receiver option that would be fascinating is Courtland Sutton of the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos proved they are sellers by trading away wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and Sutton could be another option. He led Denver in receiving this past season, catching 59 passes for 772 yards and 10 touchdowns. He would be a more affordable trade target than Aiyuk.
One way or another, a receiver trade could be exactly what the Packers' offense needs this offseason if they aren't buying Christian Watson's development heading into year three.
